As a Data Analyst, you will...

  • Creates and maintains reports, dashboards and data visualizations for internal and external use.
  • Works with leadership in the strategic planning process, helps in the creation of business plans, market research, and tracking and reporting of data intelligence.
  • Works with internal and external resources to develop client tools and services such as segmentation, modeling, dashboard development, decision aids and business case analysis to support programs, creative and recommended solutions. Works closely with the agency team in making specific and actionable client recommendations.
  • Develops data strategies (e.g. what we should capture, how we should capture it, and the triggers/decisions as a result, etc.).
  • Analyzes campaign performance, makes recommendations for optimizations and builds new systems for data collection, processing and visualization to create efficiencies.
  • Participates in forecasting and planning for client’s marketing and business plans. This includes analyzing past data to forecast marketing performance and developing plans and forecasts that account for seasonality and other factors.
  • Collect, cleanse, analyze and visualize data to drive marketing, sales and customer retention efforts.
  • Interprets data, analyzes results and provides insights to support the decision-making process.
  • Identifies patterns and trends in the data, which can be used to enhance the marketing, sales or operations for our clients.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain data quality and accuracy standards.
  • Performs market research to identify trends, opportunities and risks in the macroenvironment and industry.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to provide an internal consultative perspective on analytical tools, measurement and testing.
  • Provides training to other team members.
  • Serves as a positive role model by representing the SA’s Core Values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience 
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience
  • Must be analytical, organized, flexible, and able to problem solve.
  • Requires strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and listening skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within all levels of the agency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong skills in Excel required; Tableau and the ability to work with relational databases preferred.
  • Must have experience managing databases and developing data visualizations.
  • Able to lead and train others on the team.
  • Professional work ethic and a team player.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and proactivity in seeking new opportunities and solutions.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong supporter of SA’s desired culture.

This position is for candidates interested in working in the Des Moines office (with flexibility to work remote at times) only please.

Salary Grade (internal use only) - 9

The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers in the state of Colorado to disclose the following information. If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, the following information may not apply. Salary Minimum: $66,633 Salary Maximum: $103,282. Other components of our Total Rewards package are our discretionary bonus plan and employee stock ownership plan, health, dental, and vision insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, volunteer time off and paid time off.
